Night Of Praise

Awesome and Often Beyond Description

Once again the Centerpoint Fellowship Church Worship Team exceeded all my expectations on the recent Sunday evening “Night of Praise” worship service.  My husband and I attended with great anticipation of an encounter with the Lord, and we were not disappointed.  I can still see myself being wrapped in the arms of Jesus while swaying to the melody of the music

Afterwards, and while reflecting on the experience, I asked my husband, “Did you feel that?”  I relayed to him that I had never experienced anything like it before; a calm exhilaration.  Neither of us could deny we had been in the presence of our HOLY GOD.  I still find this event a little overwhelming, during the service I found myself in tears, which is unusual for me during worship.  As Shelley led the worship team, she offered encouragement as she spoke of our worship being a response to the Lord’s presence.  She also reassured the congregation that people respond in worship in different ways.  Some people stand, some sit, some cry, and some dance; she reminded us that we are FREE to worship God in what whatever way we feel.   At this particular service the youth gathered at the stage and moved with the music as if at a concert.  It seems to me that what really matters is experiencing the Holy presence of the Lord in such a powerful way that you cannot help but let yourself go and respond to His goodness.  At Centerpoint, we are truly blessed to have divinely appointed worship leaders that encourage us to let go of our preconceived notions of worship, and simply receive and enjoy our Lord.

If you missed this service, I encourage you to attend the next, and be assured that you will experience God in ways you may never have before.  You will be blessed and more equipped to be a blessing to others.  Amen!
